Why was Bogotá Chosen as the Best Touristic City in Latin America?
Bogotá was selected as one of the world's "trending destinations," according to
TripAdvisor, an online platform that gathers millions of opinions about businesses
in the tourism sector. The selection is based on the opinions and ratings of
TripAdvisor travelers.
Users rated Bogotá on a scale of one to five stars, in factors such as location,
attractions, activities, shopping, gastronomy, and hospitality.
Bogotá stood out for its historical, cultural, gastronomic richness, and
biodiversity.
"Bogotá received an average rating of 4.5 stars, with a particularly high score in
the gastronomy category (4.8 stars). The city is known for its delicious local food,
as well as its high-end restaurants offering a wide variety of international
dishes," highlighted Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán on his X account.
The city received 4.4 stars for attractions and 4.3 stars for activities.
